It would be easy
to think that there are just two categories of fencing; residential
fences and commercial fence but there are other areas
such as agricultural and equestrian as well as good old common
or garden fences that have their fair share of fence suppliers
stock..

Decorative and ornamental
fencing has always been a status symbol and an alternative appearance
to the cold hard look of standard security fences.
Residents may prefer
to look out onto a craftsman's fine bespoke wrought iron fence
and indeed 'soften' the security aspect from a cosmetic point
of view.
|
| Ornamental
gates may look fancy and certainly reflect the blacksmith's traditional
skills but they still offer excellent security protection and
many aspects can be built into the fencing systems so that they
retain the decorative appearence but provide state of the art
security and protection without the hard appearance. |

Equestrian
horse and pony fencing not only keep animals safely enclosed but
allow for controlled grazing as well as segregating groups of
horses according to sex, age, value, or indeed usage. Imitation
wood materials such as plastic is becoming popular. |
| Picket
fencing is the well known simple, natural and very effective fencing
perhaps associated with homes and gardens in the UK. The basic
design is the same but are finished pointed, rounded, straight
or arched and generally with matching gates. |
